"This hidden gem is filled with soul ! I enjoyed some flavourful spicy chicken tacos & a margarita to wash them down. Will I go back to try the ox-tail? si! Would I recommend, also yes ! You can taste the love in the food, that was the best part of the meal. Every bite was satisfying so I made sure to finish the plate. If you are craving a delicious carribean inspired meal, make sure to give oregano a go !"

"We had a lovely date night at this beautiful restaurant on a Thursday night. Firstly the interior had gorgeous wall murals and it felt so cozy. We shared a plate of the spicy potatoes to start and OMG they were amazing. You must order these. For my main I had the chicken curry which was super flavourful and bf had the ribs and he really loved them. They also have a couple of little pigs who wander around which was so fun too. This dinner was a highlight of our trip to Puerto Vallarta. Thank you so much."

"Absolutely delicious. The best meal I've had since I got here. Flavorful, great service, lovely space - recommended. My partner had the oxtail, I had a curry, and we started with fried plantain cups with mushroom and queso. It was amazing. There were also vegetarian options."

"Puerto Vallarta #3: this was the first restaurant we revisited from our previous trip to PV. Like our previous visit, Oregano's food and service were immaculate. While I ordered the oxtails previously, I tried the costillas (c ensalada y fríes) $340 this time. My partner ordered the Caribbean curry with mejillones $300. I really enjoyed my dish, and the fries really hit the spot (lol). My partner's curry had so much flavor and depth, and she really enjoyed it. Our only complaint was she had almost 10 mussels that didn't open/she wasn't able to eat. As previously mentioned, service is excellent here. The only thing a bit off is the ambiance. I think the front dining area being disconnected from the other/bar area feels a bit disjointed. When we arrived no one was dining here and the fans were on full blast, so it was just a bit odd. We'll be back for el taqueño, the wings, and more tostones!"

"Fantastic flavors, and something different for the palate. The oxtail is amazing. I also tried the “coco ocean” which was delicious, it comes with a super fragrant coconut rice. Friendly and fast service as well."

"We were here for dinner and it was amazing. The restaurant looks nice. The food was really good and the portions were enough. We had the Salmon and Baby ribs, which was very good. Our server was super nice and friendly. The cook came to our table as well and was very friendly. I can only recommend to eat here. It‘s a great place!"

"In a cozy neighborhood just off the main drag, Oregano Caribbean Cuisine is a gem that’s perfect if you’re looking to escape the hustle of downtown PV and enjoy a laid-back, local vibe. From the moment you walk in, the friendly, welcoming staff make you feel like part of the family—and that warmth carries throughout the entire experience. One of the most unique and charming aspects? The 20 pet Guinea pigs that call this place home (not all visit at the same time). It’s quirky, unexpected, and adds to the character of the restaurant in the best way. During my visit, Candella, was on hand, periodically checking in with guests in the dining room to ensure everyone was having a great time. That personal touch really set the tone for a memorable meal. I had the Jamaican-style wings and the oxtail, and both dishes were nothing short of phenomenal. Incredibly tender, perfectly seasoned, and packed with authentic Caribbean flavor. Every bite felt like it had been crafted with care. A word to the wise: make a reservation. The place fills up fast, and for good reason. I was too full to even consider dessert—but that just gives me the perfect excuse to come back. Oregano Caribbean Cuisine is the kind of spot you’re glad to discover and eager to return to."

"This small, funky-looking restaurant exudes a great vibe, serving up excellent food, great music, and well-crafted cocktails. Every dish we tried was outstanding—from the creamy hummus and flavorful mussels to the superb oxtail, tender baby back ribs, and perfectly seasoned chicken wings. Each had its own unique flavor profile, making for a truly memorable dining experience. A must-visit for any serious foodie!"
